The venue seats 100 people inside and 100 people outside, therefore large groups are welcome.

ST. JULIAN'S
Sharma Ethnic Cuisines was originally established in Mdina in 2011. The charm of Mdina helped us build the brand name – in fact Sharma as a restaurant became very much in demand in a very short time. However we felt it was time to move to a more centrally located venue, which is more easily reached by tourists and Maltese clients alike. That is why in 2017 we decided to change location and move the restaurant to Portomaso Marina in St. Julian’s.
The interior décor is eclectic, with splashes of colour and patterns throughout, beautiful rugs, silver ornaments and warm lighting to reflect Oriental traditions.
Private Events
For private or corporate events, kindly contact us. In cases where you are required to give a presentation, we can close off a section of the restaurant for privacy.
BYO (Bring Your Own)
If you want to enjoy a bottle of wine from your cellar or a personal favourite to celebrate a special occasion, feel free to bring it along! Corkage fee is only 7 Euros.
Parking
We offer 2 hours free parking at Portomaso.
Childrens’ Policy
Only children of 7 years and over are allowed in the restaurant. At Sharma we do our best to provide the best environment for a dinner being romantic, corporate or a special event.
Opening Hours
We are open from 6:00 PM till 12:00 AM (Mon-Sundays), Tuesday OFF.

“We sat outside on a lovely quiet evening, and enjoyed the great food and service. A great selection of wines, and the view of the boats and harbour was great. Nice to get away from the noisier areas of St Julians. “

“The location of this place right at the water’s edge of the Portomaso Marina is its biggest selling point. Fortunately the food matched the quality of the location too. We managed to get a table by the window (we did have to move though because we were in the line of the door and the draught) and ordered a good range of dishes which were at a good price. We also enjoyed their lemon spritz cocktail which was very tasty. “

“We visited during the week and the place was quite busy which is good. The staff were welcoming and polite and attentive to our requests. Parking is easy and the restaurant provides 2 hrs free parking at Portomaso parking. We had mixed and indian platters for starters, and everything tasted great! Then we had a selection of curries and tandooris for mains which we shared between us. Food was great and atmosphere was calming and lovely. Highly recommend “
